30 Years Later

I am an avid reader of my Sgt. Grit e-mail publication and have often viewed the tattoo section. Well here I am on the right with my brother on the left 30 years later with new tats. His very first and my fourth. We were both “newbie’s” together at Camp Schwab “Kilo” 3/9, 0351’s in 1975. We then ended up, both of us as Troop Handlers at Infantry Training School Camp San Onofre. Him with Delta Co. and I with Alpha Company. We were then discharged, honorably of course, in 1979. He is presently serving with a civilian consultant in communications with an Army unit in Mosul Iraq. While visiting me here in my home in Phx. Az he casually mentioned that he has been wanting an EGA tat and I said, let’s go. As you well know, the picture says it all! To Sgt. Grit and the many service men and women here and abroad, GOD BLESS, MERRY CHRISTMAS, MELE KELEKIMAKA, HAPPY KWANZA, HAPPY HANUKKAH, FLEIZ NAVIDAD and Happy Holidays! If I have left any out, my apologies. SEMPER FIDELIS! Tony Serrano and John G. William AKA 5-0/Skeeter
