Hmmmm, young dumb and you know the rest guys, Semper Fi, OLY Olson, Sgt. 3/68-1/72 As a brig chaser out of PI and the Airstation I saw misc Marine Bulldogs at both bases. Seem to recall one getting busted because he was UA chasing girl dogs. As he lost a stripe I swear he was smiling and thinking Marine type thoughts. Welcome home and God Bless to all Marines.
I have a tat also of CPL CHESTY that was done in Hong Kong for US2.50 c With USMC ON the bottom but I do not have a Camera on the computer. It was done in 1969. I thought I was the baddest SOB on the block until I met “MR CHARLIE” Then I thought all them green tracers was aimed at me. Damn I could smell the black power when they pulled the plug on the grenade. My buddy Zingoni Got out of that hole fast as hell. We manned the guns, (ARTY) and leveled them and fired the last 5 rounds direct fire. I traversed, and loaded and he pulled the lanyard. We killed I don’t know but we only had BEEHIVE. HQ Service BN 3rdf mar div. 2 tours in the Nam, and attached to DIV GHQ. Embarkation NCO for the whole div, and I was also Motor SGT. My home COMPANY was Service CO 3rd Mar DIV.. I also was an Instructor at Quantico VA , OCS small arms expert. Gentlemen I feel like Louis Cottage JR, in An Officer and Gentleman. I received $50.00 Worth of silver $s in Salutes. Then I got to turn them out as BVutter Bars to you poor souls that dont know what you are doing, but can kick their butts in DOG FIGHT and then turn around and tell them what and how to do it the right way!
