General Shoup

I’d like to put in my two cents worth on the survey “your favorite Marine.” Although I agree with the other votes there is one that is definitely missing. David M. Shoup. His heroism at Tarawa and duty to the Corps deserves a vote. He’s got mine. I had the privilege to shake the man’s hand at graduation from MCRD San Diego in 56. I had no Idea who he was at the time but I sure as hell do now.
