Sgt. Grit,I went to the ground-breaking ceremony at Quantico, VA, for the Marine Corps Heritage Center on September 26, 2003. Thought I would sport my Sgt. Grit black wind jacket. As you can see it looks real good beside the Commandant.
Was asked that day, and since by a few Marines where I got the jacket. My answer, “Sgt. Grit,” of course.
