CAMP LEJEUNE — Shannon Maxwell, author of “Our Daddy is Invincible,” a first-of-its-kind children's book that aims to help families of service members who've been injured in the line of duty, signed books Friday at Camp Lejeune.
Maxwell's husband, retired Marine Lt. Col. Tim Maxwell, was wounded in 2004 with a traumatic brain injury. That inspired her to write the book, which she says fills a void all too familiar to her and her daughter, Alexis.
