I just wanted to tell you and show you what I did with your small ribbon bumper stickers I purched over 8 years ago. I made an personalized ribbon display and mounted it to my Harley win shield. Service Ribbon Ski Helmet
I served one tour in Vietnam, first with the 81 mm mortar platoon, H&S Co., 2/3/3. When the 3rd Division left, I was transferred to the 60 mm mortar squad, Lima Co., 3/5/1. I?ve always been proud to say that I?m a Marine and a Vietnam veteran. The attached pictures are of my ski helmet, covered with small service ribbon decals, earned while in the Corps.

Sgt Grit Polo shirts on Iwo Jima
I wanted to share a photo of Sgt Grit Iwo Jima Polo shirts. We wore these on a recent visit to Iwo JIma. My father fought there for 18 days. He was assigned to Charlie company, 1st Battalion, 28th Regiment , 5th Division. We were there courtesy of Dick Portillo of the Portillo Restaurant Group. My father was in the book Flags of Our Fathers. His name is William Faulkner.
