Hey, Grit, recognize this outfit?
Isn't she a cutie! She's my granddaughter, Willah Ann Saucedo. Her dad — Eric Saucedo — is in the Navy, due to retire next year. Semper Fi!

Sgt Grit is a place where Marines can come and meet other Marines, share tattoos and stories, keep up with Marine Corps news, or shop for USMC gear.

Dear Sgt. Grit,
I was just browsing through your Marine Scuttlebutt pages and saw that you had a section for Devil Pups. I am a former Marine and actually about to go back in after being out for 3 years. Once a Marine, Always a Marine, right? Guess I didn't get enough the first time around….Anyhow this picture was taking when my daughter was about 2 years old one evening after the rifle range–she's 6 now and still tells me that she's gonna be a Marine one day. If you wouldn't mind posting her picture in that Devil Pup section that would so rock, she is such a ham for the camera.
Just brought my own devil pup home, and since I bought him a cover and romper from the website a couple of months ago, I thought you guys might like to see who wears them on occasion.
Semper Fi,

here's a pic of my grandson I just wanted to share.. If this isn't a future MARINE I don't know what is..

Sgt. Grit,
This is daughter, Miss Sabrina Kay Dalley. Her Daddy is Sgt. Christopher C. Dalley. She wanted to join the Marines, right now at age five. So, we took her down to the recruit office and she got a card, that she signed herself, saying that she is an honorary Marine. That is the best we could do………..for now.
The young Marine I wrote you about several weeks ago, for whom I bought the ka-bar, is now home with his family for the holidays. I gave him the ka-bar at Christmas and he was very pleased with it. I have included a photo of the two of us, Old Corps and New Corps for your viewing pleasure. Hope you like it. L/Cpl Tyler Liggett is a dedicated warrior and will go far should he decide to stay in the Corps. He is intelligent, strong and ready to serve his country.

On Memorial Day 2009, the little town of Florence, Oregon dedicated our Veteran's Memorial Park. This was a project that started over 5 years ago and finally became a reality. I included a picture of the ceremony as well as one of the panel of bricks which are engraved with names of veterans. Also pictured are some of the people responsible for making it happen. 3rd MarDiv vets Terry Robertson C/2/26, 1st Sgt. Tony Cavarno, and fellow corpsman Dean Hirst A/1/9.
