Eagle and USA Star Tattoo
Hello. Thought I would share this with you. I got this tattoo 4 years ago to honor my family and friends in the military, and the sacrifices they have made. My father was a USMC sniper in Vietnam. The tattoo was done by Jeff “Freebird” Stroud at his shop, The Edge, in Houghton, MI. M. Koski
USMC EGA Tattoo
Not sure how to get my first tattoo pic posted but I think I have to email you…. This is my first after being out since May 1994. It’s been a long time coming and wish I had done it sooner!
John Wayne Tattoo
I had the opportunity of a lifetime on July 14, 1966, while serving with India Co 3rd Bn 9th Mar. out of An Hoa. when I met John Wayne. Although there is a story with this, it is somewhat embarrassing to relate to this day. Mr. Wayne gave me one of his business cards and on the back he wrote what is underneath his portrait. I have that business card after all of these years. Thanks to Tim at Custom Skin Art in Altoona, PA. for this fine work and the work he did on my other 5 tattoos. I really could not explain to my children all of my experiences from those days in Viet Nam and decided to use the art of tattoo to try and relate what words could not accomplish. Jim Humphreys SGT. India Co 3rd Bn 9th Mar. Radioman
Eagle USMC Tattoo
I got this tattoo a year ago. I was in the Corps from 76-80 and it took me this long to get this one done. Over my heart is the location. When we are in we want out and nothing to do with the Crotch but years down the rode we change somehow and are so very proud to be a MARINE. I have always loved being a MARINE. OOOORRRRRRRRAAAHHHHHHHH
Marine Flag Tattoo
I’ve been out of the Crops for over 30 years and always wanted a tat to show my pride. I worked in a very dirty place and all cuts got infected. I retired last year after 30 years and got this a month later. I couldn’t think of anything that said “Marine Corps” any louder than this! Roger Serpette Sgt. 70/74 Semper Fi
Semper Fi Do or Die Tattoo
I have this tattoo on my right inner forearm. If you read the dark ink one way it will read Semper Fi and if I turn my arm the other direction the Light Ink will read Do Or Die. I came up with it, designed it and found someone good enough to put it on for me. LCPL Mangual USMC
Iwo Jima Tattoo
Dear Sgt. Grit, As a Marine (’73-’79) and the very proud father of a Marine, (Cpl Basch, T.F. currently serving his second tour in the Sandbox), I promised that I would get a tat to honor him. This was done by Peg at Lady Luck Tatoos, Canandaigua, New york. And just think it only took 29 years after my discharge to get it. Amazing what happens when your son becomes your hero! Semper Fi!
