Marine Veterans from 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Chris Senopole and Adam Shatarsky, the “Boots on the Ground” for The Wounded Walk 2013 campaign, made a stop at the Sgt Grit headquarters on 7/25/13. These two Marines are full of humor, dedication, and zeal. We greatly enjoyed their presence and we proudly support their cause. Thanks Marines for what you are doing. You are the prime example of what “Once A Marine, Always A Marine” truly signifies. Fair winds and following seas along your journey.

It’s not just dirt from Vietnam, it’s memories.
Ralph Mussehl has been back to Vietnam several times. He took the picture of the boot print in 2007. Said it was eerie after all these years. He collected the dirt from various areas while visiting. Makes a great display for the entry way in my office.

Vietnam Marine Gets Vinyls
We want to share a story with you about Vietnam Marine Howard Mears. He came into the store with his gigantic RV looking for something OUTSTANDING to display, but with no real idea what could be done.
In steps the Sgt Grit customs department, and they pulled out all the stops. They took pics of the RV and made a design mock-up. Upon approval, Mr. Mears’ decals were designed and placed on his RV.
