The Marine who found two WTC survivors.
Only 12 survivors were pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Center after the towers fell on Sept. 11, despite intense rescue efforts. Two of the last three to be located and saved were Port Authority police officers. They were not discovered by a heroic firefighter, or a rescue worker, or a cop. They were discovered by Dave Karnes.
Quang Nguyen: Thank you Vietnam Veterans and all Veterans
A VIETNAM IMMIGRANT
It looks like we did some good after all! On Saturday, July 24th, 2010 the town of Prescott Valley, AZ, hosted a Freedom Rally. Quang Nguyen was asked to speak on his experience of coming to America and what it means. He spoke the following in dedication to all Vietnam Veterans. Thought you might enjoy hearing what he had to say:
Our National Anthem rendered properly
If you're tired of hearing our national anthem being
destroyed almost every time it's sung by the
current crop of pin headed egomaniac pop artists,
then you will seriously appreciate…..this version
of only 1 1/2 minutes sung by a group of youngsters
known as “Dave's Highway”.
No instruments, no microphones, no special effects!
Just 3 young siblings (Erika, Delaney, and Zachary)
singing the anthem as originally written, right in
their own living room.

Purple Heart …missing 5 states
I received an email from some Purple Heart Recipients who have created a license plate display for 50 POW/MIA states.
They are missing only 5 states………NV, OR, RI, HI, & CA
Is there anyway you could put out a plea for that? You can have them contact me at Marlyce@Veteransgalleria.com.

Sgt Grit Newsletter, Sept 14, 2011
Both of my daughters will tell you what it's like to have a Marine for your Dad. After not getting along for weeks they were awakened at 04:30 and told to 'get into your sweat gear'! Outside we went.
Gave them each an entrenching tool and had them dig a hole to bury a log I had selected. They had to do it together to accomplish their mission, Gung Ho! Yes, once buried they had to dig it up because they buried the wrong log. They have been getting along ever since then and that was 1986.
