We had a Marine come in to our clinic for a brace to help him walk (he'd had a few strokes and needs one to walk). He brought us one of your t-shirts and asked us if we could build it into his brace. I thought you'd get a kick out of it and also wanted to give you props for such a cool design.

Quilt of Valor
I've been a Marine Mom since 2002 when my one and only son left for boot at PI. Was always patriotic, but have become more so since that time. I joined Quilts of Valor a while back, when my Dad, a Korean War vet, passed after a quick, ugly meeting with leukemia. I have always "made" things, but could never quite master the quilt arena. NOT that I have mastered it yet, but Daddy passed something on to me that won't let me stop with these quilts for the veterans in our lives. Just wanted to share one with you that is near and dear, finished it on the anniversary of the USMC and posted it on their site once. Hope you enjoy. It will be going to one of six Korean War Veterans this month (I promised them a quilt!). It may not be the best, but it has my heart in there. And I have added a picture of my Marine. Thanks for all that you do, at Sgt. Grit – everyone wants to know where I get my great t-shirts.
Beautiful Marine Mailbox
I wanted you to see the most beautiful mailbox I have ever seen! It is made from Sgt. Grit materials and lots of love from my son!
My son worked with Theresa at your shop and she helped with the items and information, and he came up with the rest. It is awesome!
Marine Santa
I am working with a group of students out of Vista, CA, having the kids write Christmas cards to deployed service members. This was just too good not to share with you. I hope you enjoy. The kids are going to be so excited! It came from Joli Ann Lechtag Elementary in San Marcos, CA.
Never Forget
Work in progress, but thought I would share.
SEMPER FI!

Tribute
Although I am not a Marine or had the chance to serve in the military, I have been in the civilian uniform services for more than 30 years as a police officer, firefighter, and medic. I have two sons that are Marines. My oldest got out a few years ago after several tours in Iraq, and his younger brother insisted on following in his footsteps.
Leather Carving
I served with 3/4 in Nam in '65-'66. For a long time I have wanted to create a leather carving of our Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. I began this project in early September of this year.
Thank You,
Vann, M.L. Sgt.

Tall and Bold
I'm Sgt Guadalupe, a Marine Corps recruiter. I want to have one of the Marines I have put in recognized for this work of art he hand crafted in your magazine and or newsletter online. PFC Joshua Terry.
As you can see in the picture, he was inspired to become a Marine as a kid and made that into reality. During one of his college classes he was to create a piece of abstract art. Being in the delayed entry program awaiting boot camp he wanted to make something that would be Marine Corps related. As you look at the sculpture you see the Eagle standing tall and bold with his wings spread out and leaning forward as if he is ready to take on any challenge that presents itself. The earth is represented by a rock and surrounded by two metal spheres that symbolizes the world wide travels to protect the country we love. The Anchor that looks sharp, but yet gentle to touch, just like the Marines, we look sharp in uniform and were aggressive towards our enemy with the ability to cut through their defenses and yet be gentle enough at heart to stand tall and receive toys to be donated to kids in need, or help those who survive a natural disaster.
