Here is a 1959 Zippo with the VMF-451 logo. The C-119 (Air Force designation) flying box car's proper nomenclature in the Marine Corps was R4Q when we used them in Korea, and later hauling supplies to Taiwan when we were stationed there. They were powered by those huge four row P&W 4360 engines. read more

Men At Prayer

This had hung in my room for years as a kid, I recently got it back after it had been misplaced after my father passed away. I have never seen it anywhere else. "A painting by Capt. A.G. Raymond, USMCR, depicts in its impressive sincerity, the worship and reverence that our fighting men carry to the very battle lines… The strength of manly character typified by the American Marine is vividly portrayed in this factual interpretation of men at prayer." A Gun Case That I Hope Is Worthy

I made a gun case with the following items. $50.00 in hardware, $20.00 scrap leather, $5.00 silver buttons, $6.00 wood for sides, the rest was garbage picked. Semper Fidelis to all of my Brothers.

This Ka-Bar holder I made for retired Major Larry Carmon. Who was a DI in Diego when I was in, which was back in '78. The two of us went
to high school together, and we were also in ROTC in school. The EGA is hand carved… well it is all done by my hands, down to the tree I cut down. read more

Leon N. Utter

A word ot thanks to Scott McClellan for his tribute to the late Col. Utter. Sorry I missed it when Scott first sent it in. I, too, was a member of 2/7 when we landed in Vietnam. I remember Lt.Col. Utter and I also remember you, Scott McClellan. As I recall, you were in battalion communications, I think message center. I was in the H&S company office. The 'mad house' office. With 'whispering John' Semensow, the First Sargeant. My name is Joe Panzarino. was a PFC when we got there. Left there a corporal. Left the Corps a Sergeant. Didn't stay in, as you did.
