We are always so excited when customers come from all over the United States, just to stop in and tell us how much we mean to them! Sgt Pena traveled from Fort Worth, Texas, where he serves as a Police Officer. He is still very dedicated to celebrating his Marine Corps heritage. He holds a Marine Corps birthday celebration every year in Fort Worth, where hundreds of Marines join him to celebrate their birthday.

Found Lost 2004 Photo
Last month while I was in a Disabled Vietnam Veterans Thrift Store I stumbled upon something I could not leave behind.
For a mere $7.00, I bought, in a beautiful mounted and sealed frame, a class from Camp Pendleton, April 07, 2004, Bravo Company/ Class 09-04 / 1st LT: Mc Kean /1st SGT: Groth.
The Tradition Continues
This is a picture of Ivan and Owen Dodge. Looks like the next generation will be carrying on the family tradition. Their uncles are GySgt Paul L. Chevalier, USMC Ret, and Pvt Matt Doppstadt (currently serving). SgtMaj Paul J. Chevalier (AKA Papa), USMC Ret. is very proud of them.

Hello Sgt. Grit,
I just wanted to share a story with you about the most amazing Marine I have ever had the privelige of knowing: My dad.
I receive your newsletters, and I always enjoy reading about the Marine stories. I love buying things from your shop for my dad, as he spent so much of his life devoted to the Marine Corps. It just so happens that today, I read something on your newsletter, and I forwarded it to him. It was just something small about being proud of being a Marine.
Never Seen
My son in law has never seen his daughter. He is stationed in
Okinawa at Futema Air Station. I do know he reads your weekly
post because we talk about the stories sometimes and he sees the
stuff I order. If you want to put the picture in the post then
by all means you may but I just thought you would get a kick out
of it.
Third Generation makes good
My son, the Ltcol., recently took command of VMFA-112. He is a third generation Marine. His grandfather, my father in law, was a Cpl. in WW-2, I made Capt. and served in RVN. The picture is of the Col. and his lady outside the VMFA-112 hangar. Proud papa? You bet!
Marine Corps Family
A Gift of Love
Being the daughter of Elvin Krumsee, I grew up learning how important being a Marine was to my father. As a child, I learned the Marines' Hymn and would march around singing it. I learned how to make the perfect corner on a bed and strived to get a quarter to bounce on it. I learned how to spit shine shoes and even how to peel potatoes. All the Marine way.
Grandson
Sgt. Grit,
I hail from a family of Marines. My dad, like you, served in Vietnam. He was awarded a Silver Star with purple hearts in 66' Operation Hastings for his actions. I actually went to Vietnam for two weeks in 2010 with my dad's skipper to see their combat sites. My dad has passed but leaves a strong legacy. My three brothers also served in our beloved Corps ranking from a WO3, Sgt and a CPL as you can see the Marine Corps runs deep in the Brickey family.
Information on Married couple through Marine Corps Boot Camp
Hello,
I was looking up some information to see if I can find my parents pics and I found this article that I have the link for here:
https://www.grunt.com/corps/scuttlebutt/marine-corps-stories/chandler-ok-couple/
I just wanted to let you know that this has happened before, to my parents. My father, Stephen Dale (14 year Gunny) and my mother, Linda Dale, were married and went through boot camp together back in the mid 70's. I have all the documentation and local papers and still have the press photo shoot with the headline "Marines spend second honeymoon at Parris Island"
