How are you?. Have been off line recently due to starboard kidney failure, but I had a “Jumpstart” and here I am again. Thought I’d send you Photo’s of My camper van, proudly showing off the USMC emblems. I am as proud as punch with these items.

Semper Fidelis
The Grit Mobile is a 1973 Porsche 914 Platform. It has two radiators in the front and a fan pulling air through and exiting out the fender wells. A SCCA fuel cell holds the fuel. It has Porsche suspension. It has a 383″ Chevrolet V-8 power hooked up to a Porsche trans axle. Air sis sent to the engine via two fluted boxes that have dry ice in them for extra power. Two fans in the engine bay exit the warm air out of the bay. The 5 speed trans axle has stepped up gears for high end speed. The engine by the way is in the middle, right behind the driver. 14″ wide tires on rear — 12″ on the front. The wheels and tires pictured are just for rolling. Centerline racing wheels and Yokohama tires are used to go fast.

Hi people, well my truck is finally gone and hopefully to a good place. I think the change will do me good. Now the little bastards that have spit on it and vandalized it can move on to other targets. It was a very hard thing to do letting go and going to another vehicle but time to move on and blend in with everyone else. I want to thank all of you for your support and kind comments.

As promised, albeit many months ago, enclosed are some pics of my 1964 Chevy Impala that my wife and I have been working on. The guys at work have dubbed it the Sgt. Gritmobile, which would seem appropriate, given its Marine Corps theme. Obviously all of the interior patches came from your store. I’m lucky-as you can see, here in Colorado we can get Marine Corps plates, which complete the job. Thanks for making the project possible, keep up the good work and keep the pics if you want ’em.

These are some pictures from the “Bike Week 2002” motorcycle rally at Myrtle Beach, SC I went to. Had a great time, made some friends, spent alot of money, rode all over!! Many more rides to look forward to–and the open road awaits. Live to ride and ride to live . . .
