All Marines
All Marines
In the past, several year’s ago you published a story about my oldest son, Charles A. Beltram II when he graduated from Boot Camp. Now, I would like to introduce you to my youngest son, Sgt. Samuel Adam Beltram, USMC upon his graduation from EOD School, Class 09160S. Both of my son’s are Sgt.s in the Corps. My oldest is an Instructor at New River, MCAS. Of course my youngest, Samuel is now at Camp Lejune. The second photo shows all three of us, all Sgt’s in the Marine Corps. Of course, I am not as lean, not as mean, but still a Marine!

That how Jim Bouchard of Granby, Mass. feels about his relationship with the U.S. Marine Corps.
While Jim and his family have been surrounded by support from members of the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps League after his son, Marine Sgt. Joshua J. Bouchard, 26, was wounded in Afghanistan in July, he is no stranger to either the Marines or knowing how it is to be wounded in combat.
Update on “Where, When, Who?”
Update on “Where, When, Who?”
Just a guess with no sure fact.
The Marine to Chesty?s left
This looks like MajGen Alexander Vandegrift on Guadalcanal (he had a cleft chin)
The rest could be the Generals staff at that time on the canal
Example:
The far right, 2nd from the end looks a lot like LtCol Randolph McC. Pate, logistics officer in another picture. See below

Proud Parents of our Marine
Our son, Cpl. RJ Breen and his friend signed up with the Marines while he was 17 and a Junior in High School in 2006. As a Mom – I have to say I was not for this idea!! They spent almosty every afternoon running with the recruiters from the local recruit station here in O’Fallon, Missouri. He graduated high school one semester early and left for boot camp in January 2007. He completed boot camp in April and came home for his high school graduation in May and walked proudly in his dress blues. As a Mom- I have to say it was one of my proudest moments!

True Marine Ingenuity
True Marine Ingenuity
I was in Hawaii last week on vacation. I witnessed true Marine ingenuity at work. A few marines took cardboard duct tape and trash bags and in roughly 30 minutes constructed this make shift boat. It truly was amazing. I unfortunately did not get there names or unit. I suppose they were stationed in Honolulu. This is a small lagoon in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Honolulu. I thought you might like it for your e-news.
Ex vs Former Marine, not me
Ex vs Former Marine, not me
Sgt Grit,
Much has been written about being a Ex or Former US Marine, but after doing 4.5 years in the Corps, I am neither an Ex or Former Marine.
For I go by the title of a: Recovering US Marine and I am still in Recovery.
Since I am in Recovery, with some sort of Recovery plan to deal with my Marine Corps ways, for my family and love ones … everyday is a struggle for these good kind people. But with hope, kindest, care, happy thoughts, love, feelings, and other happy words & kind thoughts … I will get over being a US Marine, someday, maybe, if I try hard, I can kick it, I know that I can.
