Rand Decals

Sgt. Grit:

After looking through your latest catalog for rank decals, I didn't like the size specified, and also didn't find any "hash marks". So, I ordered the Dress Blue chevrons and service stripes I needed and "crazy" glued them to some magnetic material I found. So far, they have held up in the weather here in middle Tennessee. Picture of a Friend

Howdy Grit. This is a pic of a friend of mine that supports the Corps. She writes to a Marine L/Cpl in-country that she has never met and sends him packages regularly. It's great that we have people in this country that will do that. I sent her one of your items that I think she looks marvelous in. It might be useful for your ads. Semper Fidelis. read more

Bumper Stickers

I was driving through town the other day, stopped at a traffic light and the guy next to me honked his horn so I rolled down the window. He said he was following the four best bumper stickers he has ever seen through town and just wanted to thank me…I told him I would cover my truck with them to let people know how I feel, but I thought this would be a good start..Thaks, Sgt. Grit for the great products… read more

Me and Son Chase in Blues

Sgt Grit

Sad occasion when I last got into my blues to attend the funeral of my best friend who was also a DI at SDiego. He was in Iraq as a civilian contractor with DynCorp and one year later he was home and dead of a fast moving cancer.

My son Chase was 5 months old at the time of this picture. Thought you'd enjoy seeing the blues bib put to good use. A lot of what he wears comes from your supply shack. Semper Fi and Happy Holidays. read more

Private Kabar, Chooch 0341

Private Kabar, Chooch 0341

Herewith the latest picture of Private Kabar (her Sgt. Grit collar is hidden under the holly wreath). Private Kabar was promoted to PFC last September. Unfortunately, she was busted to private the following month for pissing behind the oil tank in the cellar – a direct contravention of standing battalion orders. However, I’m proud to report that there isn’t a dog in the neighborhood who doesn’t respond submissively to her low-pitched growl while she is on a walk with a clapped out old Marine Corporal (1961-1964, Seventh and Third Marines). read more

Filson’s Platoon

Don,

Thank you very much for the t-shirts and hoodies, my platoon really enjoyed them. The boys in my squad made it our unofficial squad shirt and wore it anytime were at pt or squaring off against the army in soccer. I made sure everyone in the battery got a Christmas card and gave the rest to the regimental chaplain?s assistant. I have enclosed a few pics of the boys. I hope all is well there. We have been very busy these past few weeks, but things have just started to slow down. read more
