Dear Sgt. Grit,

In February you posted a letter my daughter had written for your newsletter. I was quite surprised to read it as I didn't know she had submitted one to you. She talked about how she was leaving for PI in a few weeks and how "freakin motivated" she was. I just wanted to let you know and those who replied to her letter and encouraged her that she is now a Marine. She graduated from PI on 5/6/05. The EGA ceremony was inspirational and emotional for the new Marines (many of whom were crying, men and women) as was most of the audience. read more

I am in the DEP as of right now I leave in september and I have a tattoo of an american shield and under it says freedom isn't free I would like to share my art work with the rest of my brothers at arms.

This tattoo is on our National President, "Viper", Marines Motorcycle Club, he had the Marines MC added to his present tattoos to complement them. Tattoo done by Tom Ingle in Marysville WA. Semper Fi Marines….

Sgt Grit, Here is my motivated ohhrah tattoo. The font of the "United Stated Marines" is the same off of the NCO sword. The eagle, globe, and anchor is an original design by Twisted Heart Tattoo in S. Fla. My tat took 6 1/2 hours, but it was well worth it! Could you post this on your site?
