Motto Tat For My First Tattoo
I got this done by Jeff at Just Another Hole in Broken Arrow, OK. It took 3 hours to do, and was definitely worth it. Eagle, Globe and Anchor with Stencil USMC and “Infidel” in Arabic.
Glad I Waited
I got this Tattoo Three Years ago, and I am so glad I waited cause I couldn’t find anyone to do it just like this when I was in the Corps. So I’m glad I waited such a long time to get it and it was done Freehand.
Wife and Mother
I designed this to honor my Husband and Sons honorable service to our country. I am a very proud Granddaughter, Daughter, Wife and Mother of United States Marines! I was almost quite literally born breathing USMC PRIDE. The meaning behind this tattoo is simple, I will always stand behind and lift you up as you serve our country, I will honorably serve in spirit right behind you and never leave you shamed. I will always continue to honor your pride and commitment to the Corps and to our country. Your shared name is and was more than just a name, it is proof God intended you to both serve with all the honor, courage and commitment only the Corps can give you. I will always be by behind you lifting you up! I am also a very proud Mother-in-Law of a Soldier and a Sailor. Our commitment to serving this country runs deep.
Unbreakable
This tattoo contains the title of the song that got me through recruit training, as well as a myriad of other trials in my life. “Unbreakable” by Fireflight served as my reminder to keep pushing even when life gets tough. The 5.56 round serves as my reminder that I found my niche in the Marine Corps when it came to marksmanship. Every Marine a rifleman.
Semper Fi
Got this tat 9 years after I got out. It was a long time coming.
The Old Corps
This tattoo represents the 2 times I loved being a Marine and Civil War re-enacter.
From Out of the Sun
I got this Tattoo In Okinawa 3rd Reconnaissance, then went to Jungle Warfare Training Center at Camp Gonsalves Okinawa, Japan. Boy my first Tattoo it hurt like hell, it was tapped in not by tattoo gun. A long bar with needles on the end and the color is push under the skin. This was done June 21, 1980.
Feeling Nostalgic
This past July 22 was the 30th year since my graduation into our esteemed Marine Corps. I already had gotten a tattoo right after ITS, but it was not an eagle, globe and anchor. So feeling nostalgic I got this tattoo. If any of my fellow recruits from platoon 3043 in 1983 see this, find me on Facebook. Semper Fi, Mike Winnie 0311 Corporal, USMCR 1983-1988
