American by birth, 8654 by choice. Got this about three years ago at Black Phoenix in White Bear Lake, MN almost 15 years after I left 2d Force Recon.

I was on my annual tattoo binge in between deployments and decided that I was going to get a moto tat due to some of the things i experienced while deployed. I love the following quote from which is where the idea came from: “They (Women Marines) don’t have a nickname, and they don’t need one. They get their basic training in a Marine atmosphere, at a Marine Post. They inherit the traditions of the Marines. This tat I wanted to get for some time now. It’s my tribute to the fallen Marines that I knew (and those I did not know), from Beirut through ODS / OIF and OEF. May they stand at Rest now. Semper Fi.
