This is a tattoo from Sgt Howard McKinnis. He served in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive and started with CAP in Khe Sanh village then, when it got hot, they moved them to the Khe Sanh base to help with the Aborigines from 67-68 and 69-70 with 3/4. When asked about his tattoo, he said, “My wife sent me to the store to get something. I couldn’t find it, so I got this Tattoo instead!” The tattoo is Civil War era art. Howard is a re-enactor. He dropped by the store to make a purchase and show me his tat. read more
