I.D. Marine Sqd. in WWII
Can anyone here indentify the Marine Corsir Fighter Sqd. that used the the Seabee logo as part of their unit logo. The Seabee logo has USMC written vertically in front of the Bee and the double anchors behind. It is a testiment to the respect they had and still have between services. The number 993 is written on the landing gear strut, I was wondering if it is a plane number.
Three Wars
I am now 85 years old and a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant. I enlisted in the Marine Corps on October 13, 1944 and retired a April 1, 1975. I served in WWII (Okinawa operation), Korea and Vietnam. There are few of us left that served in all three wars.

Flashback
It was nearing Christmas of 2011 and my wife and I were visiting the Marine Corps recruiting office to bring in a bag for “Toys for Tots”. I was wearing my sharp looking Marine Corps cap purchased from Sergeant Grit.
We entered the recruiting office which had an open area with mail boxes for all the services and a Christmas tree. We then proceeded down an alley way that had the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine recruiting offices.
Photos of first Ontos
Was in Hawaii from 1956 to 1958 First Marine Brigade. Anti Tanks. We first had the 75 RR tripod mount . then we got the ontos. Photos are from October 1958 I did't drive them was NCOIC of communications. But did have the opportunity to fire the guns.
