USMC Civil War tattoo
This is a tattoo from Sgt Howard McKinnis. He served in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive and started with CAP in Khe Sanh village then, when it got hot, they moved them to the Khe Sanh base to help with the Aborigines from 67-68 and 69-70 with 3/4. When asked about his tattoo, he said, “My wife sent me to the store to get something. I couldn’t find it, so I got this Tattoo instead!†The tattoo is Civil War era art. Howard is a re-enactor. He dropped by the store to make a purchase and show me his tat.
Sgt Devoe’s Bulldog Tattoo
Sgt. Grit, Finally got my Marine Corps Tattoo on Father’s Day 2011. I got off active duty in 1987. My last unit was Landing Support Co. 1st Marine Brigade K-Bay. Thanks for putting it in the tattoo files. Semper Fi Sgt. Ed DeVoe “There’s no party like shore party.”
Semper Fidelis
My fiance is in the Marine Corps and the motto meaning ‘Always Faithful” i wanted to get something that meant something to both of us without getting his name on my body so i decided to permantly have “Semper Fidelis” on my back. I love it and wouldn’t change it for a second. As you can probably tell the picture was taken within hours of the tattoo being done.

Tears to a moms eyes
My son graduated boot camp on 10/28/11. It was one of the proudest moments in my life next to him being born.I went to his gratuation and when we got to do the first hug tear of happiness started flowing. Well he got to come home for a week before the next stage of SOI. I have just recieved the year book and dvd that came with it, like any mother I couldn't wait to watch the dvd so everything got put on hold so I could watch it. here we go again with the water works seeing all the young men working so hard and to me taking more in than any one person should have to. I come to the crucible. They were wore out, dirty, hungry, and still doing there job. I can apon this pic of my son and thought to my self " Hell ya! Thats my boy OOHRAH!" So proud of you son! tears of a mom flowing again!
