Happy Birthday Picture
Hello Sgt Grit!
My husband is LCPL Jeffrey Saville, as most people are doing, we are celebrating the birthday of the Marine Corps. Our son, Bryce Saville, has been wearing his Dress Blue outfit in honor of the 235th Birthday. Since he has been wearing it all day it has gotten a little dirty 🙂 Out of regulations I know 🙂 I wanted to share this with all of Sgt Grit and its fans! I apologize but I was not sure which email to forward this too.
USMC Gear
Dear Sgt. Grit,
My family and I love your store. My husband served in the Marine Corps for 8 years and misses it everyday. He was injured in combat, but your store allows us the opportunity to show our USMC pride! We have something for every vehicle, every family member, and every room in the house.
Birthday Greetings

MC Birthday menu, Parris Island, Nov. 10, 1956. I'd been on PI for about a week and a half and had a helluva appetite by then. Ate everything in sight.

USMC BIRTHDAY PHOTO
Hello,
Because I'm not in facebook I figured the best way that I could get these photos to you. The photo were taken atop Hill 88 on the birthday of the Corps in 1969. Our BN (Golf 2/26) CO Lt. Col.Bill Drumwright delivered it.
By the way there is no way that I can ID the Marines who were wearing what boots.
This was also the first USMC Birthday Party that I attended.
Hope you enjoy the photos of a Birthday Cake from long ago.
