I’m an Honorably Discharged Marine and now a Chicago Police Officer. Thought I’d drop an email and show off my newly acquired license plates. I am extremely proud of them. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve gotten a honk and a thumbs up while driving. Not only do these plates show my pride of being a Marine but they also remind people to remember our Marines and why they are doing what they do. God Bless all of our Marines and the U. S. USMC Demolition Derby Car

Sgt. Grit, attached are pictures of my sister, Rhonda’s, demolition derby car for the Medina County, Ohio 2004 Demo Derby. This was her first year, so she was “self-sponsored.” She created the stencils, we painted and decorated the car. Our inspiration? Our No. 1 favorite jarhead – Dad. Dad is a retired Master Sergeant – Vietnam Veteran. We are truly “Marine Corp brats” through and through. read more

USMC Boat

Hi,

I love your site and thought I’d share some pictures of my latest project. Since I got out of the corps I picked up model boat racing as a hobby. Last fall I started building a wood hydroplane from a set of plans I purchased. When I got done I thought of the perfect paint scheme that my fellow Marines would love. It’s made of 1/8th and 1/16th inch Birch plywood and it’s 48 inches long. It has a fully modified 26cc Zenoah water cooled weed whacker engine, rated at about 6hp. It can run about 60 mph in race trim. The finish is Fire Engine red stain with black and gold trim. Hope you guys like it. read more
