I was a L/Cpl. with 3rd Recon in Okinawa back in 1975 and as a young pup I learned not to starch my greens after the first week that. I remember Sgt. Matthews and Sgt. Gonzalez’s took about 14 of us young studs on a run through some jungle and then on the sandy beaches and had us run in the ocean! At that time I figured we were going through hell week so I took it! but, us looking like some bad ass Marines looked like a bunch of wet dogs when we got back. LOL
