Thought you might like a copy of this since everyone talks about chow.  I agree Hill 55 had the best mess hall.

Commanding General’s Thanksgiving Day Message (inside of menu)

Thanksgiving is an American holiday in every sense of the word. It is a traditional family affair and each of us will be missed this year as our loved ones gather for the occassion.

But it is also more than a family affair. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on and give thanks for the principles that our nation was founded upon, freedom for all, the right to worship as we believe, live where we want and to pursue the goals in life we desire.

This is why we are in Vietnam today. The Vietnamese also want freedom and I am sure that your future Thanksgivings will be more rewarding to you for having been part of this struggle.

To all of you and your families I extend my thanks for your loyal services and my best wishes for a meaningful Thanksgiving Day.
