Sgt Grit, I’ve been out of active service for about 11 years now and just recently I got my Marine Corps Tattoo. I wanted something that no one else had. So after much searching I found the artist to make my dream a reality. Lazlo Barath at A.S.I. in Salt Lake City Utah is that artist. I came to him with an idea and through his talent this piece is the outcome. I served with Sierra Battery 5th battalion 10th Marines, Camp Lejeune, N.C. This tattoo has to do with a term used in artillery called “Catching The Dragon”. All you “Gunrocks” out there will know the term I’m sure but those who don’t here’s what it means. When a round is fired and you have a shit hot #1 man he can quickly catch and crack the breach igniting the hot gasses inside causing flames to roll out the tube. Its an awesome sight especially at night. I hope you all enjoy the 13+ hours it took. Semper Fi Sgt. Sean Scott SLC, UT
