From the early days. Catalog has changed considerably. Cpl Michael Davis retired from Fox Btry, 2/14 as a 1st Sgt. He was kind enough to share this picture and memory with me.
Semper Fi!
Sgt Grit
Sgt Grit is a place where Marines can come and meet other Marines, share tattoos and stories, keep up with Marine Corps news, or shop for USMC gear.

Hey we recently got Santa's approval on a shirt I am sure you will recognize!
Gunny's Place
I wore this jacket at a Veteran's Day function in Amherst, Ohio, and received many compliments and requests for the vendor's address. I could hardly refuse, and gladly gave it to them. I hope many responded. It seems that everywhere I go, I get many compliments about it. Thank You very much.
I have seen in the past few newsletters, Marines sending pictures of their cars and trucks with items from your store. I have just completed a nut and bolt restoration/customizing of my 1954 Ford F-100. I wanted to have something special made to honor my friends, friends I made 45 years ago in a really ugly hooch. I had the honor and the privilege to be with 11th Marines and living, eating, a tad bit of drinking, and standing watch with Don Whitton, John Gugliotta, and Jim Fuller. We still speak and visit to this day.
I've had my truck for a few years and have proudly displayed USMC products I've purchased from Sgt. Grit on it. I got my RV this year and as you can see I've already started with EGA's over the tail lights as well as the USMC memorial. It looks good but it would look great with a larger one of the memorial on the back though.
Regarding the recent picture submitted by "Tee" Turner of four friends reuniting in TX after 46 years, I am the one from CT, wearing the tan "Chu Lai Vietnam" hat supplied by SGT Grit. Just thought I would send along a picture of my car, with Marine Corps pride, also supplied mostly by SGT Grit.
On March 5, 1964, I became One of The Few, One of The Proud, A United States Marine. 50 years later, and with a little help from Sgt. Grit, I would like to Present My Great-Grandson 1st Class Elijah James Yezzo… Semper Fi! Gung Ho…

I bought the "get off my asz" sticker so I wouldn't have to worry about other drivers tailgating us. It makes me nervous when I have my girls in the truck. Sometimes it works. But I bought the pole holder off amazon. When I went to Home Depot. I met a young man with autism. It was his idea to not cut the 10 foot pipe. I agreed. He said two flags are more to see. When he saw the flags I put up. He gave me a hug. I will fly the flags I bought from you proudly. Thank you. I will send photos in November they go up with a new Autism awareness flag. Thank you again.
I'm former L/Cpl Jack Gleason, Plt. 226, PI 1963 – 1967.
I just thought you would appreciate a good laugh. These are future recruits. We live in Flippin, AK, and we don't get that much snow. So, being a Marine veteran I improvised. We had some snow, a flag pole, and 4 great volunteers.
Two photos of my grandson:
1. Maxwell Austin Charette ("Max", born 4/2/14, Boston MA) shows off his Sgt Grit gear.
2. Max on patrol (at 2 wks. old), prevents enemy activity 2014.
