MC Birthday menu, Parris Island, Nov. 10, 1956. I'd been on PI for about a week and a half and had a helluva appetite by then. Ate everything in sight.

Last year he was selected for the MECEP ( Marine enlisted comissioning education program) Currently he is attending school at the University of Notre Dame to earn his degree and become a pryor enlisted officer of the Corps. Here are a few pictures from this years Birthday ball. a couple of him carrying in the cake with some other ROTC personell that will also eventually be officers of the Corps. Happy Birthday Picture
Hello Sgt Grit!
My husband is LCPL Jeffrey Saville, as most people are doing, we are celebrating the birthday of the Marine Corps. Our son, Bryce Saville, has been wearing his Dress Blue outfit in honor of the 235th Birthday. Since he has been wearing it all day it has gotten a little dirty 🙂 Out of regulations I know 🙂 I wanted to share this with all of Sgt Grit and its fans! I apologize but I was not sure which email to forward this too.
Ball Pictures
Thought I would share pictures from Marine Corps League Detachment 1124 Marine Corps Ball, 2009 and 2010.

Sgt. Grit,
Each year (By Law)on Nov 10th the Marine Flag is flown over our State Capitol (NH). and we hold a small Ceremony with our eight MCL Detachments (The Color Guard is a Young Marine unit) after which we motor to a local restaurant for breakfast.
Marine Corps Birthday Cake
Sgt Grit,
I enjoyed viewing the photograph of the Marine Corps Birthday Cake taken in 1969 on Hill 88. The attached photograph was taken at the Marine Corps Combat Base of Khe Sanh, Headquarters Company, First Battalion, 13th Artillery Regiment on the Marine Corps Birthday in 1967, just a few short months before the start of that long and horrific Siege.
The Gunny
Been looking for this for a long time, finally found it. Dou you have any older than this? My proudest day was when I was handed my eagle, globe, and anchor. Now for the Old Corps we used to say, "There's the Old Corps, The New Corps and this S.O.B. A Marine isn't happy if he ain't BI$#%&N." Hoppe someone out there is still alive and sees themselves in the photo.
