Private First Class Vincent Smejkal
For Father's Day I received this picture from my son. He is stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Currently he is training in the martial arts and mentions that if something happens to his weapon he has to be able to take out the enemy with his bare hands.
Adopted Marines
Sgt,
Attached are photos of the Marine Christmas Tree my wife and I
put up this year, along with a photo of three of our adopted
Marines.
The Marines are from the left, Cpl Cole Dennis with VMU 3 in
Twenty Nine Palms, PFC Heather Bedonnih in Construction and
Utilities in Pendleton, and Pvt Matt Head, future MP in
Pendleton.
A Little Moto
Merry Christmas Sgt. Grit!
There is no real category in which to put these pics of our Marine
Corps family Christmas Cookies… but you could say we're a little Moto
and the Corps is near and dear to our hearts. This is our last
Christmas as an ACTIVE duty Corps family, so it's a little bitter sweet
for us. Enjoy!
‘Twas The Day Before Christmas
TWAS THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS
While forward deployed to Naples, Italy we (1st FAST Co. 3rd Platoon) were assigned to re-inforce a Naval installation in Gaeta, Italy during Christmas & New Years 2000-2001. Half of the platoon was guarding the USS LaSalle while docked and the other half of us set up a reinforced perimeter on the small Naval base. During our time there, a number of us contributed to writing a ridiculous poem about Santa trying to get onto the base without his I.D.
