Sgt Grit is a place where Marines can come and meet other Marines, share tattoos and stories, keep up with Marine Corps news, or shop for USMC gear.

Hi people, well my truck is finally gone and hopefully to a good place. I think the change will do me good. Now the little bastards that have spit on it and vandalized it can move on to other targets. It was a very hard thing to do letting go and going to another vehicle but time to move on and blend in with everyone else. I want to thank all of you for your support and kind comments.
Dear Sarge
As promised, albeit many months ago, enclosed are some pics of my 1964 Chevy Impala that my wife and I have been working on. The guys at work have dubbed it the Sgt. Gritmobile, which would seem appropriate, given its Marine Corps theme. Obviously all of the interior patches came from your store. I’m lucky-as you can see, here in Colorado we can get Marine Corps plates, which complete the job. Thanks for making the project possible, keep up the good work and keep the pics if you want ’em.

Hi Sgt Grit and Co.
With a little modification to your brass emblem I was able to attach it to my Ford truck,

It’s a 1967 Ford Mustang Hard Top. I’ve had this car since right before I joined the Marine Corps. The Color is the result of another fellow Marine that threatened to shoot me if I painted it Royal Purple. The engine is a 302 with a high volume oil pump, variable lifters, 2 barrel carb and 15 inch rims. The two pictures are in The Grape Ape’s home in La Puente, Ca. The other picture is of me and The Ape is Sept of last year right after a Commanding General’s Service Alpha inspection.
