Hello. Thought I would share this with you. I got this tattoo 4 years ago to honor my family and friends in the military, and the sacrifices they have made. My father was a USMC sniper in Vietnam. The tattoo was done by Jeff “Freebird” Stroud at his shop, The Edge, in Houghton, MI. M. Koski

Colored Emblem Tattoo
My name is Eddie. I have been the marines for two years and right after I got home out of bootcamp I wanted to get my first tatoo and I wanted it to be the eagle, globe, and anchor. I have sense gotten three others and am very proud of every single one but this is my favorite.
Vietnam 68 – 69 Tattoo
This is a tattoo acquired by a young just 18 year old just before deployment to the Northern I Corp. of Vietman in 1968, obtained in California. It is the best thing this Grunt ever did to honor the Corp. we served. We least not forget the ones we lost who gave all. Glad to have served, glad to have survived, glad to keep the memory alive for all of those that served. Gary Spence Sempi Fi – 2/3 Marines Sept. 68 – Oct. 69
Fire Maltese Cross, with a Eagle Globe & Anchor Tattoo
Sgt Grit, I’m forwarding a pic of my new tattoo. I used to have a bunch but had them all lasered off. But I had been wanting the emblem for some time. My last tour before I retired was at 8th & I and I really liked the emblem that the Barracks used in the 8th & I logo. So I used it as the design for my tattoo. I got it in Columbus, Ohio and if the Lima Company Marines here want the design, tell them to contact me at Peter.hoeft @ mindspring.com. Semper Fi, Pete Hoeft Gunny, Retired

Marine Corps Birthday November 10th, 2006
Dear Sgt. Grit, Last Marine Corps Birthday (At which we always have a Marine Corps Birthday cake) it fell on the Friday before Veteran’s Day. Our Boss allowed us to fly the Marine Corps Flag the entire day. We have many Dormant Marines and other service veterans who work here and we honor our veterans every Veteran’s Day. We celebrated Veteran’s Day on the morning of our beloved Marine Corps Birthday that year. It was so nice to see our flag fly so proudly for all to see. It flew in front of Cox Communications, Omaha, NE on November 10th 2006 in place of our company’s flag. Long may it wave… right next to Old Glory and long may she wave in God’s Glory Semper Fi Sgt. Grit and thank you. Ken “Ziggy” Yagodinski Cpl. of Marines 75 to 81. OORAH!
