Old Corps Emblem Tattoo

Sgt. Grit, My husband finally got his first Marine tat almost 8 years after being medically discharged and I wanted to share it with you. He tried to get alittle of the old corps EGA and the new corps EGA. The man who did his tat won a national title for the best overall backpiece and if I am remembering correctly it was the rifleman’s creed. I hope that you like his tat design. Daughters USMC Ink

Hi! I came across your tattoo page and decided to send my daughter’s pics in. She always wanted a tat from the time she was 15. My husband and I told her she had to wait until she was 18 and on her 18th birthday, we went to get her first one. By this time, she knew she was going to join the Corp and she wanted to get a USMC tat. I told her absolutely not… that she wasn’t getting anything that said USMC until she had earned it it by actually graduating boot. So, she settled for getting the chinese symbol for self-discipline on her back right shoulder as she knew this was something she was going to have to learn in order to get through basics. The colours are my favourite (purple) fading into her favourite (yellow). In Dec of 03, she hopped a bus for Parris Island. It was a long, difficult process for her, especially being broken down and rebuilt into the awesome person and Marine she is today, but she made it through the trials and tribulations to the day she got to walk across the parade deck and was given her ega. When she came home on leave, the first thing she wanted to do was get her USMC tat. She wanted something feminine but not too girly and opted for the vine with a few flowers and USMC inside on her lower back. She loves her tats and was never more proud of a tattoo than this one because she knew what she went thru in order to earn not only this tattoo, but the title United States Marine. USMC tattoo

I saw your page on Marine Corps tattoos and wanted to share mine. I got it about a year after I was discharged from the Corps due to injury. I was up late last night and saw a news report of Marines deploying to Iraq and noticed some guys I served with. The next day I went out and got my tattoo as a way of telling them and myself that while I couldn’t be with them, this Marine is Always Faithful. I decided to get this Eagle, Globe and Anchor in the same size and location as the (now) embroidered one on the cammie blouse, on my left rib cage. Semper Fi, Steven McAfoose read more

Marine Corps Tattoo

I wanted to share my tattoo with you all. It is my second tattoo, I got it the day after I got my first tattoo. I knew I wanted a tattoo for a while but waited until I finished training. It is the first of my permanent moto-wear. I feel proud to display my love for the Corps. I hope that all who see it are as proud to be an American as I am! -Barton read more
