Corps Cook Tattoo

Here's a tattoo pic to add to you collection if you deem it suitable.

I enlisted in the Corps in 1964 at the age of 17. Becoming a cook was the farthest thing from my mind. However the Corps had a different idea. Although being in the Food Service MOS was not what I thought being a Marine was about, it was good duty and overall a great experience. Since I spent more time with a spatula and a chef's knife in my hands than with my M-14, I designed this tattoo using the Marine Rifle Expert badge and substituted the cooking utensils for the rifles. At the time, the cook's MOS number was 3371 and my nickname while on active duty was Lobby. It's a great souvenir of my past, as I've been a carpenter for the last 31 years. I look forward to receiving your newsletter. Thanks for your efforts. read more
