Ka-Bar and Stone EGA Tattoo

I got my tatoo while in my MOS school at Fort George G. Meade in MD. I got Tattoo done by Chris of Meade Tattoo. It's a fouled K-Bar with a Stone Eagle, Globe and anchor in front, on my left leg.
I've been in the Marine Corps since December 2004. It's the best thing I've ever done. Ooh-Rah!

Semper Fi!

  1. Wow 10 years in the Corps and a PFC do I understand that correctly? Most 10 year members I know we’re E-5. Cpl Graham

    1. It took me 27 months to make L/CPL with a perfect military record That was in 1968.Ten years as A PFC ??

  2. Let’s think about this for a minute, 2016 minus 2004 = 12 years (not 10), and to be a PFC!! Must be lots of broken service time or a major typo. Then again, maybe “terminal PFC”. Back in the “old Corps” (RVN) if you had your stuff together & in the right MOS, you could figure on E-5 in 3 to 4 years.

    1. I agree; I made E-4 in 20 months & turned down E-5 13 months later to get out early on a school cut.

      1. Same here. RVN 67-68. Salty E4 with 13 months in grade on a 2 year enlistment. Offered me E5 if I shipped for 4 more years. Really wanted to be a SGT but opted to get out and go back to school.

  3. Surely PFC Cushman meant to type 2014 and not 2004. Either that or he’s been having a little much fun! Semper FI , be safe, and thanks for your service.

  4. similar sentiment already put forth: been in since 2004 and still only a pfc! probably should consider going career!!!

  5. As a Ka-Bar rep, it sure as hell don’t look like the real thing to me. The tattoo “artist” needs to re-think his design, it is not a good representative image of the 1217, the original Marine Corps Ka-Bar.
