On November 10, 2021 in Grapevine, Texas we are having our 30th Celebration (give or take a year) at the Tap in Grill, 120 S. Main St. Grapevine, Texas 76051, aka TUN TAVERN (for the evening). Any MARINE in the area that wants to join us for the Commandants message and “possibly meet one of the last IWO JIMA MARINES left on this earth”, is invited to celebrate with us.
Two years ago we had two of these vanishing WARRIORS. Last year we had one. Come on down they won’t be with us much longer.
We will cut the Birthday Cake at 20:00 hours with Mameluke. All members of our SISTER SERVICES, to include the youngest SISTER, THE SPACE FORCE is welcome to celebrate with us. We will raise a GLASS to our fallen comrades and renew old friendships.

OUR 3 WW2 VETS & 5 OF OUR KOREAN VETS ARE NO LONGER WITH OUR GROUP IN THE SEALY/KATY AREA & THEY ARE MISSED VERY MUCH. HAVE 2 MORE “FROZEN CHOSIN VETS” REMAINING & THEN THE VIETNAM-VETS WILL BE THE OLDEST GROUP OF VETS. ON BEHALF OF OUR 20 PERSON MEMBERSHIP REMAINING, I YELL “OORAH, SEMPER FIDELIS & KEEP EVERY SHOT INSIDE THE 10-RING !!!!”
I would just feel honored to shake the hand of an Iwo Jima Marine. Hell, I don’t even know if I’m worthy of such an honor. I’ve met a few Pearl Harbour survivors and that was monumental. God bless them all.
