  2. Camp Pendleton, infantry training school, 12 mile force march. On top of my pack and weapon I also was lugging 2 ammo cans of M-60 rounds! When senior yelled ” get on yer feet” I jumped up and went
and over grabbed his pack thinking brownie points and was going to hand it to him. He exploded! Get yer hands off my gear!! I panicked! What did I just do? Well I just busted our SDI! His pack although looking full must have weighed only 2lbs! Hence the quick route step pace! OOHRAHH! Semper Fi!

  3. In 1969 at Admin school at Camp Pendleton, we would hold our typewriters above our heads and run around the classroom.

  4. I remember being part of a field day, not the cleaning kind, in Beirut in ’82. One of the challenges was similar with the exception being we had ropes secured to 5 tons. 8000 series if I recall. Push up position to start. What a blast. Good memories.
