Marines
by John Cerullo

Who’s the man as straight as a board
Who’s the man that carries a sword

He is a Marine on parade
He is the one that comes to aid

To aid his country in time of strive
To help the old and give new life

His duty calls twenty for hours a day
For all these hours receives little pay

Pay in money is such a little thing
Payment in tribute is what it brings

Though payment in tribute brings little to thee.
Let’s all the people and nations see

See what a strong land we have here
And the people that make it have no fear

Fear of oppression and Tyrants be
This is a free land as you can see
