In August of this year twenty-one Marines from Platoon 2085, Parris Island 1966, gathered in Washington, DC as guests of The Khe Sanh Vets at their 2012 Reunion. We were honored by the presence of our SDI, First Sergeant Ben Leith (USMC Retired) and his lovely wife Jackie who mustered with us from their home in Arizona.
We were honored to participate in the dedication of the Khe Sanh Memorial at The National Museum of The Marine Corps in Quantico, VA.
At a Platoon dinner a moment of silence was observed in remembrance of Davis A. Jones, Andrew M. Hudak and William A. Markarian the three 2085 Marines KIA in Vietnam.
Platoon members from as far away as California and Florida gathered as we celebrated our admiration and respect for each other and shared our mutual and uncommon Marine Corps heritage.
The only casualties reported from this skirmish were several bottles of The Glenlivet and Jameson's.
Platoon 2085 looks forward to our Second Annual Reunion in Nashville, TN; once again as guests of The Khe Sanh Vets at their 2013 Reunion.
Once a Marine, Always a Marine!
