Sgt Grit-
I just got a moto tat this past week and I thought I would share it with everyone. I haven't seen too many female marines so here is mine. I graduated from boot camp 2 September 2005 and I am currently at NAS Pensacola.
Sgt Grit is a place where Marines can come and meet other Marines, share tattoos and stories, keep up with Marine Corps news, or shop for USMC gear.

Sgt Grit,
I served in the Marines from 1952 to 1960. Korean duty from '53-'55…over 16 months. Never got a tattoo … always wanted one…R&R in Japan and many liberties , and still no tattoos. My youngest daughter,Taylor, asked why not? My answer was "waiting for a special occasion" After a week at Parris Island with the Marine Corps League in May of 2005, and an article in your newsletter …TATTOOS Volume II…EGA Tattoo – FINALLY…Thomas Carter, the time had come.

Dear Sgt. Grit, This is my tattoo of the colors for the Marines Motorcycle Club (www.marinesmc.com). Received in Sturgis, SD during the 65th Annual Black Hills Motorcycle Rally. The artist was “The Gypsy” from Independence, KS (www.ablazable.com).
Dear Sgt. Grit,
Here is my first tattoo. The Fallen Marine/Soldier Memorial on my right forearm. Done by Matt at Hart and Huntington Tattoo Company, located in The Palms, Las Vegas. Dedicated to all those who gave all, and those continuing to give all in defense of our Great Nation.
Sgt. Grit.
I just got this a week after bootcamp, before headin of to SOI. It was done at a local place, Artistic Dermagraphics, the guy who did it, Drake, did one of the best jobs I've seen on an Eagle Globe and Anchor. It's absolutely stunning, I love it, and wear it proudly.
Dear Sgt Grit,
Here is a picture of my tattoo 24 years after serving in the Corps. The first two names underneath are both of my kids now serving actively ( both Iraqi vets). The last name is my last son who past away 2 months after birth. Keep up the good work!

I just got dropped from the comfort of boot camp into the craziness of the fleet Marine Corps. My drill instructors always told us if you are going to do something, do big, So I took the advice and did it big. I love this design (its yours). It’s the first of a couple of motto tats
