If the young man is saluting without prompting you have raised a “Real Winner”. If he is play acting your feelings will be hurt when he stops and Goes to the Army. I am a Marine and a 27 year Navy Uncle could hardly forgive me. His C.P.O. Rank was always in Gold and my Blues got more attention than his Gold. So I found it easy to accept.
