Well I had to wait until I retired, turned 63 years old, and one of my 24 year old twins went to boot camp to get my tattoo. I served 4 ½ years active from 1962 to 1966. Thirteen months 2nd Marine Division then 41 months at MAG 31 / MAG 32. My service time helped me retire with 30 years of service in Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.
