A Few Margaritas

Here's my pair of Corps tats The Bulldog is on my left Bicep and the Emblem is on my right forearm. The story behind the Bulldog is pretty funny (at least now). The last thing I remember about that Friday night was drinking alot of margueritas in Tijuana with a bunch of buddies and more than a few Mexican hookers. I woke up in San Diego at the Servicemans Y with a bandage on my arm and a tattoo parlor business card in my pocket. I was more than happy to see my Dog and flags once I got the courage to look under the bandage. I still wonder what I would have done had it been a list of hookers names! Marine Wife Tattoo

Here's a pic of my tattoo. I'm not a Marine, but I married to one and I'm damn proud!! My husband is currently on his way home from being over seas and will be a war vet at the age of 21. He hasn't seen my tattoo in person, but loves the pictures I've sent. I'm not sure what Marines will think of a wife having the EGA as a tattoo, but am glad to say out of the 3 I have, it is the one that I wear with the most pride! It is also the largest of my 3, covering my left side. Charity McCauley read more

A Great OOPS!

I thoroughly enjoyed your new Tattoo page in the summer '03 catalog. I thought your readers might get a kick out of my newly recolored Bull Dog tattoo. While down in Melbourne, Fla. recently for their annual Veterans Reunion I stopped by this tattoo parlor to have my 37 year old Marine Corps tattoo recolored. I was pretty "gaga" after a day of partying with my Vietnam Veteran Brothers and gave the young female tattooist no mind while she did the deed. It wasn't until later when I was back at the motel, sobering up from a cold shower, did I notice her [illiterate] handy work! Even though I took a LOT of ribbing the next day I've decided to leave it as is because it has "character". Besides, when ever I show it to someone all they see is USMC. read more
