  1. Happy birthday Marines! 1600 muster at Keauhou bay. Always good to reconnect with leathernecks from all conflicts. Receive the commandants birthday message, cut the cake and shoot the shit like only Marines can! SEMPER FIDELIS!

    1. I wasn’t part of your squadrons, but I was the one who fixed the ARC 52 radios in your helos at the HQ C&E bat. from 6/66 to 8/66. Hope you guys have a great reunion.

  2. Sea stories at reunions and birthdays, the brotherhood from all conflicts, eras and times – there is nothing like it! Semper Fi’ Marines and Happy Birthday.
Always reminds me of an old joke:
What is the difference between a fairy tale and a sea story?
A fairy tale always begins with “Once upon a time “. A sea story always begins with “Now this is no bull shit!”

  3. i fought in nam from early 1970 thru 1972….all i am going to do is stay at home with my pretty lady….and thank those who served and died next to me….and be thankful that my lady is in my life….to be there on those nights when the bad times come to haunt me…..she is my angel…..

  4. With our local Marine recruiters, we’re hosting a cake-cutting with a 100-year-old WWII Marine veteran as Oldest Marine. The recruiters are bringing their Poolies and the families, where we will provide dinner and introduce everyone to our Veterans Service Office, Blue Star Moms, Marine Corps League and a support group called Vets4Vets. Our concept is to welcome them to our ‘Family’ and let them know they are joining the World’s Finest Fraternity. We recognized a few years ago that, too often, the recruits and/or their families may struggle and not realize they have a support system in place while on active duty and after they transition to civilian life.
