Arrived MCRPI Jan 13, 1954 It was early in the morning, cold and dark. Still drunk from the conductors rock & rye. All I remember is a lot of screaming and confusion, and a kick in my ankle for doing something wrong. I don’t remember any yellow foot prints, DIs were S/Sgt. McDonald, Corp. Moore and Pfc.
