Marine Blue Benz

I always planned to get another Mercedes SL convertible and this 2004 fell in my lap at a great price. Since it is Marine Corps Blue I decided to dress it up with Sgt Grit parts.

1st – A Marine badge in front grill.
2nd – The AMG logos on the side were removed and replaced with
USMC logos.
3rd – On the trunk is a Semper Fi Plate holder holding my Vietnam
Veteran plate, Marine Combat Veteran sticker, Silver Star
sticker, and Marine Corps screws to hold the plate. read more

Little Guy In Desert Diggies

Bradley is a big 7 month old! He is our first baby, we've been married for 6 years. My husband, Nick, spent 4 years active duty in the USMC based out of 29 Palms. We now live in WA state near to family and Nick now has a career in law enforcement. Bradley and I are home together and enjoy every moment! read more

Dressed Up Our Buggy

I want to thank Lynn Lam and everyone at Sgt. Grit for all their great help and assistance with ordering the custom stickers for our light covers on our buggy. My husband is very pleased with how well the USMC Marine Corps stickers have dressed up our buggy. Once I cut them out and put them on they look awesome! Here are some pictures. read more

Nearly Choked to Death

First off, wanted to say to Jim (the Ole Gunny) McCallum thanks for the great story about AV-8-ers. I was sucking on some pogey-bait at the time and nearly choked to death laughing. At first I was really into the history lesson because it's one of my favorite subjects, and I've read a few books about Genghis Kahn. About 2/3rd's of the way through I caught on. I realized I've flown with quite a few Phu Khen AV-8-ers and even one Phuc Dup AV-8-er (he broke the skid on a Huey one day landing a bit too hard). Love your stuff Gunny. Keep 'em coming, please! read more

My Houtch

Sergeant Grit,

I am an old Nam Vet myself. I retired after 30 years as a Master Sergeant. I have purchased so many items from you over the past few years. My wife is used to seeing a package about twice a week from you. I have attached just a few of the flicks of my Houtch and my front Hatch. I know you will appreciate my taste in decorating my quarters. The flicks are a little fuzzy as my hands aren't as steady as they used to be when I shot Expert with the M14. One flick is my Rack another shows flicks of General Amos and SMMC Barrett. These were autographed along with their challenge coins. The other shows the large metal Emblem and Chevrons that you provided. The last one shows Gunnery Sergeant Ermey shouting out orders for PT. All your gear has made this old Marine Happy. read more

Full-faced Helmet

Just a heads up that a friend of mine was riding his motorcycle in southwestern Iowa earlier this week and managed to total his bike in an accident. I reached him on his cell phone at the hospital later in the day (actually expected his buddy to answer, but Dwight did) and he informed me that he didn't have a concussion or any other head injuries due to his full-faced helmet that he had been purchased from Sgt. Grit. Once he's released from the hospital, I told him he owed Sgt. Grit a thank you and a new order for a replacement. read more

Leadership and Reflection

I am a Former recruiter out of OkSouth/Norman and have been back in the Fleet Marine Force for over a year now since leaving Oklahoma. If there is one thing you could ask me that I have missed about Oklahoma I'd say it would be Oklahoma Football and the Sgt Grit Staff… Nowhere in my career have I met such a wonderful extended family, whom are so dedicated to taking care of the Marines and our Beloved Corps values. I have been on deployment overseas now for 5 months and just received a package from Sgt Grit… It was not only packed absolutely perfectly, but filled with shirts, coins and a few other things that have been passed out to the locals in the country and our Marines. The package has boosted Morale and the Marines have enjoyed the things you have sent to us all. The package not only proved how much the Sgt Grit crew cares about the Corps and it's Marines, it proved that the spirit of being a Marine is alive and well in Sgt "Don" Grit himself. We like to say that Marines are a direct reflection of their Leadership… Well, the Sgt Grit Family has obviously gotten Leadership and reflection right the first time. I will follow Sgt Grit to the end! Thank you all for the wonderful packages that you have provided to the ones that Serve you! read more
