He Wants To Be A Marine
Hey Sgt. Grit Team! I ran across this picture and I realized that I never sent it to you. This was taken a few years back when I had my first child. His name is Gavin. All the items came from your store. I
can't believe that he's going to be six this year. He says he wants to be a Marine like his Mommy and Granddaddy! LOL.
Zippo Art
In your latest newsletter, Jerry Nealey Sr. asked about Zippo art. Here is the lighter Charlie Battery 1/13 had designed while we were in Vietnam. I believe it was designed by Lt. Eberhardt (Deceased).
I have seen another one like this with a different date on it, but this is the original one. I do not have a picture of the back, but on that side the lid had:
Merry Christmas
I surprised my Husband, my Marine with a special Christmas tree this year.
Red Oak Shadow Box
I always see the stories of items made for Marines. I just wanted to share two of my recent works. I made a double flag shadow box out of red oak. I did the complete build by myself from drawing out my plans to finished box with items in side. I also just completed a quilt that is Marine Corps themed. I hope you like them. Thank you to all the men and women who serve, and god bless!
Confirmed kill
Sgt. Grit,
I have always been very satisfied with your products, and today, that feeling has just been reinforced. While sitting at my computer, I was buzzed by THE biggest house fly that has ever advanced on my location. Knowing that blood makes the grass grow, I began looking for my fly swatter. Aparently, someone in my house didn't want to replace it in it's assigned spot, so I began looking for a weapon of opportunity. After looking for the right tool to despatch this enemy, I found the only thing that would be appropriate. I reached into my shelf on top of my computer desk, grabbed my Sgt Grit catalog, quickly put it into condition 1, and WHACK! 1 swing, 1 kill. They say "The deadliest weapon in this world is a Marine and his rifle". To the house fly, possibly the MOST annoying creature in the world, it is now "a Marine and his Sgt Grit catalog".
Marine Head
Thanks Sgt. Grit. I'm the Marine who's wife is doing the bathroom. I'm sending pictures. Also, I make rifle and pistol targets, I'm making one for you and will be standing by it with my 338 Lapua and my 308 and 716 sniper rifles along on my hip. My 5.7 shoots 246 feet per second. Thank you for all you do. I'm going to try and break the world record held by a Britt 1702. I'm going for 1720 with my Lapua.
