I was TAD from 1/13, 3rd Howitzers (Danang) to Hill 250. I was a Fire Controlman and secondary Viet Interpretor. But I was an Troop Handler at Camp Pendleton for year, instructing mortars & MG.
Only got a few pics of Hill & others, as lost camera in poker game, but would like to hear from anyone who might remember me (Panther tattoo on right forearm & Jesus/crucifix on left forearm). I also carried a huge Bowie Knife, which I threw alot, during spare time.

Hello, Ted. Was your Hill 250 large or small? I was a Radio Repairman with H.Q. Battery, 11th Marines [ Aug.68~ April ’70] On 1st February 1070 day I was tasked with flying on a Sea Knight to a hill, also name of Hill 250. I had to do some repair and swapping of radio gear. “My” Hill 250 was just a wee dot of a place…northwest of Hill 55, as I recall. It was memorable because it housed one of those new laser sighting and ranging units. My Hill 250 had an LZ in a saddle barely large enough to hold the CH-47, and there was some higher ground across the saddle from Marines’ bunkers & wire. I have one pretty good photo of the place, from the chopper as we came in to the LZ. ‘Can make out the laser sighting unit on the high ground, beneath a tarp, not a hard roof.
